The First Belt and Road Overseas Chinese Cooperation and Development Conference opened in Chongqing on 17 July. With the theme of 'Overseas Chinese Gathering on the New Silk Road, Working Together Towards the Future,' the conference aimed to bring together the strength of overseas Chinese from around the world to promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over 500 representatives from more than 110 countries and regions attended the Conferência .
The conference facilitated the signing of 66 projects with a total value exceeding 43.7 billion yuan. Among these, 16 projects involved key provinces and cities nationwide and overseas cooperation initiatives, while 50 projects were focused on Chongqing. During the opening ceremony, 17 projects were signed on-site, with a total value exceeding 22 . 9 bilhões de yuan. The conference concurrently held four separate events, including the 'Overseas Chinese Assisting Thousands of Enterprises and Products to Go Global' economic and trade exchange session, the 'Overseas Chinese Assisting High-Quality Development' investment exchange session, the 'Overseas Chinese Assisting People-to-People Connections and Telling China's Story' international communication exchange session, and the Overseas Returnees' Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exchange Session.
